“UNEXPECTED”

The idea for “Unexpected” first came to Kellei in 2007. Within a total of two and a half months, Unexpected was completely written. It didn’t take Kellei long to realize she should take the next step with her story and put her film skills to work. After finding her cast and getting all the elements needed for pre-production and then into production, Unexpected was well on its way to leaving the pages of the script and coming to life on the silver screen. “About half way through we ran into a few complications and had to stop production indefinitely. Off course I wanted to push forward but wasn’t sure if we would be able to. A little over a year later we were up and running again. A few adjustments to our story line and we were on our way.”
I am so very thankful for all the people who helped me with this project, and for their patience. I am also very thankful for the many friendships that have developed as a result of this project. "We did it!!”
Over the course of three years we filmed this project in Maine, New York and New Jersey. I especially loved filming in Maine because of all the breathtaking landscapes. With the help of my team Jessica Ebron, Dorian Knighton, Shaheed Shaheed, Alix Frances, Justin Brandt, Herve Gaspard, 4evergrafix, Jefferson Sanders, and George Namanich, the film was completed. You guys are the greatest.

"UNEXPECTED” Synopsis:
When Kayla and Desmond first met, their attraction was instant. Desmond was still in love with his ex and on the rebound and Kayla was struggling to maintain an unsatisfying relationship.
They find themselves in a passionate union that turns into more than what they expected.
Will Desmond and Kayla try to rekindle the love that they shared with their ex’s? Or will they allow themselves to fall in love again?
In life, everything happens for a reason and in love things come unexpected.
